Police Care UK team members were delighted to be invited by their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Wales to a very special Carol Service at Westminster Abbey on Friday 5th December.
This was the fifth occasion of the annual Together at Christmas Carol Service, hosted to recognise those who have gone above and beyond to help others in their communities throughout the year. This year the Service was to reflect on the power of love in bringing people together, and to thank those who have demonstrated love, in whatever form that may take. Police Care UK were delighted to have been included as a Patronage of His Majesty The King.
Police Care UK Volunteers Garry Smith and Phil Duszczyk, alongside staff members Lucy Hastead and Francesca Ayee, were part of the 1,600 strong congregation, which also included other members of the Royal Family and quite a few other familiar faces. Francesca said.
“I was truly honoured to be nominated to attend HRH Princess of Wales’ Christmas Carol Service at Westminster Abbey last Friday, representing our charity along with Lucy and our volunteers Garry and Phil. It was an unforgettable experience filled with festive spirit and incredible readings and performances.
The service shone a light on good causes and the importance of community during this season of giving – a moment I’ll cherish forever.”
The Service was aired on Christmas Eve on ITV.
