Helping police forces and agencies do all they can to reduce the impact of harm
Police Care UK is committed to helping police forces and agencies do all they can to reduce the level of harm on police and families. That's why we run a series of conferences and events to share best practice, highlight successful initiatives, and collaborate with peers and subject-matter experts to reduce the levels of harm in policing.
We host a regular series of seminars on relevant topics and initiatives that are free to access (although access may be restricted due to the topic) and feature subject-matter experts on a range of topics.
Our wellbeing conference programme has focussed on delivering practitioner-level content in an accessible format since 2016. In that time, we've held a number of Upbeat! conferences.
Content included presentations about the welfare response in Salisbury, supporting colleagues after retirement, and the launch of the National Police Wellbeing Service.
Content included keeping the peace while falling to pieces, trauma resilience, and the role sport has to play in police wellbeing
Content included post-traumatic stress in frontline policing, post-incident procedures, and the launch of Oscar Kilo.
