PoliceCare UK provides targeted support and assistance to serving and former police colleagues and their families. Because each individuals’ need is different, we have developed a series of broad programmes designed to benefit as many people as possible.
We believe that police and families should always have someone to turn to that understands their situation and can respond effectively to their needs.
By providing a specialist and confidential programme of practical, emotional, and financial support, we help more people effectively recover and rebuild their lives. In each section you can read more about the range of support available, how it can benefit you, and how to access it. Please note that this may involve registering with Police Care UK to access).
We can provide to access a range of practical help and advice, give funding for specialist equipment and adaptations, and can support you to change career or start a new business.
We can provide advice on family matters and counselling where clinically appropriate, and offer specialist guidance to support wellbeing during crises, including in-patient psychiatric care.
We can provide grants to police and families in hardship because of harm suffered, provide access to respite care for families, and improve life opportunities of children.
