Volunteering

Will you join our team of Police Care UK volunteers already supporting police and their families across the country? Find a volunteering opportunity that's right for you in your local area.

Volunteer with Police Care UK

Police Care UK have a network of volunteers across the UK who support our mission to reduce the impact of harm on those who work, or have worked, within UK policing.

Our Volunteer Colleague is the new primary role for volunteering at Police Care UK. Our volunteers support us by helping police colleagues, both serving and retired, and their families, by providing emotional and practical support. In particular our volunteer colleagues provide help and support with grant applications and general welfare visits.

Our volunteer colleagues also help promote the work of Police Care UK by representing the charity at local level, delivering presentations, holding stands, and attending events and conferences.

We simply could not reach as many people and make such a difference without the amazing support of our volunteers. Each and every volunteer is valuable and together they enable us to change the lives of those in need. Since launching our programme in 2017 our volunteers have logged over 4,778 volunteering hours over 3000 activities!

By volunteering with Police Care UK you become part of the story in someone’s recovery and join a unique family network. You can find out more about the impact we have for individuals here in our most recent Impact Report.

Why Volunteer with Police Care UK?

Policing is a family, as too should be the experience provided by Police Care and in your role as a volunteer with us. We want to give you the tools to support our beneficiaries, to develop your own CPD and soft skills, to meet new people, and to have fun.

Volunteering can give you a renewed sense of purpose, new friendships and a new outlook on life. Studies have even shown that volunteers are generally happier and healthier than their non-volunteering peers.

No matter what your motivation or background everyone has something to offer Police Care UK.
