How we can help you

Policing can expose you to distressing and challenging experiences that have lasting psychological, emotional, or financial impact. If you are serving, retired, a police staff member, or a volunteer affected by your role, we are here to support you at every stage.

Working in policing is challenging. You face situations that most people never experience, incidents involving serious injury or death, violence, abuse, moral dilemmas, and constant organisational pressures.

It helps to know you don’t have to face it on your own. Whether you’re serving or retired, police staff or a volunteer, if you’ve been affected by your policing work, we’re here to support you; psychologically, financially, and as you navigate life beyond the service.

We’re independent of the police service and funded entirely by donations and fundraising, so our focus stays firmly on you and your wellbeing. We understand the realities of policing because many of our team have served in the police or armed forces, or have close personal connections to those who do. That insight shapes how we support you. We believe you and your family should always have somewhere to turn for support that feels relevant, responsive, and genuinely caring.

Our role is to work alongside existing support, identifying gaps and offering services, projects, and programmes where they’re needed most. We’re constantly learning and using research and evidence to improve how we help, so you get the right support, at the right time.

Above all, we’re here to make sure you don’t face harm alone.
